This application for grant of regular bail arises out of Mehsi P.S. Case No.196 of 2017 registered for the offence punishable under sections 304-B and 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code and under sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The petitioner is named accused in the F.I.R. registered in the month of July, 2017. He is the husband of the deceased. He has surrendered on 21.04.2024 meaning thereby he is an absconder also. There is direct allegation of demand of dowry and torture against the petitioner.

Considering the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to grant the petitioner privilege of regular bail.
