The petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 498A/379 and other ancillary sections of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the dispute between parties has been resolved through process of mediation as well as in terms of settlement dated 23.2.2023 mutually agreed upon by them and attached with the mediator's report dated 04/2023 dated 28.2.2023.

learned counsel for opposite party no.2 does not controvert the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner.

Considering the aforesaid facts of the case, prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. In the event of arrest/surrender within six weeks from today, let the petitioner mentioned above be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Arwal in Complaint Case No. 229C/2021, provided the petitioner follows terms of settlement dated 23.2.2023.
