2. The petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs: (i) the notification contained in Memo No. 3734 dated 08.09.2022 issued under the signature of

Patna High Court CWJC No.14261 of 2022(2) dt.24-09-2024 2/3 respondent Secretary, State Election Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Commission) whereby and where under the post of Chief/Deputy Chief Counselor of newly upgraded Nagar Panchayat has been reserved for Schedule Cast, be quashed;

(ii) the respondents be directed to the respondent Election Commission to recalculate the number of the voters of different category as much as the Election Commission has accepted erroneous list so submitted by the district and reconsider the resolution of seat of Chief/Deputy Chief Counselor of newly upgraded Nagar Panchayat Raniganj;

(iii) the respondents be directed to the respondent Election

Patna High Court CWJC No.14261 of 2022(2) dt.24-09-2024 3/3 Commission to re-notified the voter list of newly upgraded Nagar Panchayat Raniganj;

(iv) the petitioner be extended any other relief/reliefs for which the petitioner be found entitled.

3. After some argument, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he will be approaching the appropriate authority so that for the next election, they can consider the case of the petitioner.

4. Granting the said liberty and without making any comment on the merit of the case, the writ petition stands disposed of.
