JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 07-08-2018 The present writ petition has been filed for grant of licence of Public Distribution System of the petitioner as per Circular No. 214 dated 09.01.2015; and for connected reliefs.
2. None appears on behalf of any of the parties despite repeated calls.
3. A counter affidavit is on record, in para 6 whereof it is stated
Patna High Court CWJC No.5894 of 2015 dt.07-08-2018 that guidelines have been issued by the Department of Food and Consumer Protection Department, Government of Bihar by letter No. 214 dated 09.01.2015, which contemplates grant of PDS licence to individuals only against vacant seats of PDS shops after the roster clearance. It has been stated in para 7 that after the roster clearance for allotment of vacant PDS dealerships applications shall be invited for grant of PDS licence in the West Champaran District.
4. Having regard to the statement in the counter affidavit, the writ petition stands disposed of.
