No one appears for the State.

The petitioner in the present case is seeking regular bail in connection with Patliputra P.S. Case No. 29 of 2017, registered for offences alleged under Sections 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a goldsmith and the allegation against him is that from his shop certain recoveries have been made on the basis of the confessional statement of Arjun Mahto. Learned counsel submits that although police has implicated him in this case alleging recovery of the stolen ornaments, however, there is no identification of the ornaments so far. Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.32286 of 2017 (2) dt.20-07-2017 2/2 case is already over as a charge sheet has been submitted against the petitioner, the petitioner is in custody since 27.01.2017. Although there is one case against the petitioner, however, in the said case also the petitioner has been implicated on the basis of confessional statement.

Considering the facts and circumstances, particularly that the investigation in the present case is over and the petitioner is in custody for about six months, let the petitioner, namely, Umashankar Verma be enlarged on bail on his furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sri R.K. Singh, learned Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate XII, Patna in connection with Patliputra P.S. Case No. 29 of 2017, subject to the conditions U/S 437(3) Cr.P.C. and that one of the bailors would be a government servant and the petitioner shall co-operate in the trial by putting his appearance in the trial court regularly as and when required and two regular defaults in appearance would lead to cancellation of bail.
