Mr.Chaitanya Swaroop, Advocate ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL ORDER 12-05-2023 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent - State informs this Court that all the dues have been paid to the petitioner.

2. Learned counsel further informs this Court that the provident fund amount has been paid to the petitioner, however, interest has been paid only up to March, 2022 while the payment has been made on 04.05.2023.

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner admits the said position and he submits that the petitioner is entitled for interest till the date the entire amount of

Patna High Court CWJC No.14333 of 2022(4) dt.12-05-2023 2/2 provident fund has been paid to the petitioner i.e. 04.05.2023.

4. Considering the limited issue involved in the present case, the District Provident Officer, Patna is directed to calculate the interest till the date of payment i.e. 04.05.2023 at the statutory rate of interest within a period of three weeks and in case he fails to do so, the petitioner is at liberty to approach this Court.

5. This Court finds that in spite of No Dues Certificate having been issued on 08.05.2023, the entire amount, which is required to be paid relating to pension and gratuity, as informed by the petitioner, has not been paid till date.

6. The Treasury Officer must forthwith credit the amount in the bank account of the petitioner.

7. With the above direction/observation, the present writ petition is disposed of.
