2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Muzaffarpur Special Complaint Case No. 85 of 2024 punishable for the offence under Sections 7, 13(2) read with 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
3. As per the prosecution case, this petitioner, who was working as Clerk, demanded Rs. 10,000/- from the complainant by way of bribe for making payment of retiral benefits. This petitioner assured complainant that the retiral benefits would be paid to him within two days only after payment of bribe money i.e. Rs. 10,000/-.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. The complainant retired on 31.01.2014 and it is alleged that on 12.02.2014, he met clerk, who demanded Rs. 10,000/-, and payment of complainant was made on 19.07.2014 and thereafter, the complaint petition was filed on 26.07.2014. This itself shows that complaint petition has been filed with malafide intention. He further submits that for the same allegation, against petitioner, a departmental proceeding was initiated, in which, petitioner was exonerated from all charges and the allegation of demand of bribe was found not substantiated. Petitioner claims clean antecedent.
5. Learned counsel for the Vigilance Department and learned A.P.P. vehemently opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, let the above named petitioner, in the event of arrest/surrender within a period of eight weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Vigilance North Bihar, Muzaffarpur in connection with Special Complaint Case No. 85 of 2014,
