That in the writ application the petitioner prays for issuance of writ Mandamus Commanding and directing the respondent authorities to take appropriate steps in accordance with law on the representation dated- 21.04.2022 filed by him for redressal of his grievance after death of his mother as contained in annexure- 4 of this writ application requesting to give monthly Rashan according to this Rashan Card.

Petitioner states that petitioner's request for substitution of the petitioner's name post death of his mother is yet pending consideration with the authority issuing the ration card. The matter pertains to Panchayat Maker, Block Maker, District-Saran. The decision is to be taken by respondent No. 3, namely the Sub Divisional Supply Officer, Chapra Sadar, Chapra/ respondent No. 4, namely the Block Supply Officer, Maker, District- Saran.

Learned counsel for the State states that the said authority shall positively take a decision within a period of four weeks from today.

Statement accepted and taken on record.

Ordered accordingly.

Learned counsel for the State undertakes to communicate the order by all modes, including electronic mode to the authority concerned. This he shall positively do within next three working days.

If the petitioner is aggrieved by the said order, liberty reserved to the petitioner to take recourse to such other remedies as are otherwise available in accordance with law. Petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
