2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Palasi P.S. Case No. 307 of 2023 registered under Sections 363 and 365 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. The prosecution case, in brief, is that daughter of informant got married with this petitioner and after marriage, this petitioner along with other accused persons started demanding dowry and due to non-fulfillment of the same, the accused persons used to torture and harass her, for which she lodged a case vide Palasi P.S. Case No. 321 of 2018 due to which the accused persons, in connivance with others, abused and assaulted her and then kidnapped her and took her away and when she tried to restrain them, all the accused persons

4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case due to ulterior motive. Further submission is that the FIR has been lodged after a delay of two days without any plausible explanation. The victim is major aged about more than 30 years.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and submits that the victim in her statement recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C. has supported the prosecution case and stated that this petitioner along with other accused persons kidnapped her and confined her for nine days in an isolated place.

6. Having considered the accusation as well as the statement of victim recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C., prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
