The petitioner has renewed his prayer for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per the prosecution case, on their vehicle being stopped for search, it is stated that the three accused persons including the petitioner herein made an attempt to escape but were caught and 492.48 litres of liquor was recovered from the vehicle.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the earlier application for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 18.4.2022 (Annexure-1) passed in Cr. Misc. no. 63747 of 2021 giving liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail after completing one year in custody. The

Heard learned APP for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the liberty granted by the aforesaid order dated 18.4.2022 together with the petitioner having remained in custody for over 1 year, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Mairwa P.S. Case no. 238 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge II - cum - Special Judge, Excise, Siwan.
