The petitioner has renewed his prayer for grant of regular bail in a case registered under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per the prosecution case, 15 litres of liquor was recovered from the petitioner's house and he was taken into custody.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the earlier application for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 25.4.2022 (Annexure-1) passed in Cr. Misc. no. 66093 of 2021 giving liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail on completing one year in custody. The petitioner is in custody since 18.9.2021.

No. 55360 of 2022(2) dt.09-11-2022 2/2 Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the liberty granted by the aforesaid order dated 25.4.2022 together with the petitioner having remained in custody for over 1 year, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Wazirganj P.S. Case no. 418 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge II - cum - Special Judge, Excise, Gaya.
