Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the counsel appearing on behalf of the State.

Grievance of the petitioner in the present writ application is non consideration of her application for grant of maternity leave which is available under the provision of maternity benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017.

Without going into the factual aspect as to the entitlement of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with

Patna High Court CWJC No.15873 of 2019(2) dt.06-08-2019 2/2 direction to the respondents to take appropriate decision with regard to application of the petitioner for grant of maternity leave in terms of maternity benefit (amendment) Act, 2017. The District Programme Officer (Establishment), Patna is directed to take appropriate decision on the application of the petitioner with regard to maternity leave at the earliest preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
