The petitioner seeks bail in a case under Sections 384, 307 and other sections of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner and other accused persons are alleged to have demanded ransom and then opened fire but the informant escaped.

It is submitted that the petitioner is the agnate of the informant. The informant has lodged three more criminal cases against the petitioner. Nobody was injured. The allegation of demand of extortion is palpably false and with a view to make the offence graver.

On the other hand, learned counsel for the informant has submitted that all the witnesses have supported the factum of occurrence that the petitioner demanded ransom and also called

It appears that the petitioner is the neighbour and relative of the informant. The informant has already filed three more criminal cases against the petitioner.

Considering the facts aforesaid, the above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sri Chandraveer Singh, Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Gopalganj in Vishambharpur P.S. Case No. 54/2014.
