The limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition is to direct the District Magistrate, Nalanda at Bihar Sharif to dispose off the pending appeal filed by the petitioner bearing Appeal Case No. 13 of 2023-24, which has been filed against the final order dated 27.05.2023 passed by the Circle Officer, Chandi, District-Nalanda under Section 6(1) of the Bihar Public Land Encroachment Act, 1956, however, seeks some protection during the interregnum period.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition,

Patna High Court CWJC No.12117 of 2023(2) dt.05-09-2023 2/2 I deem it fit and proper to dispose off the present writ petition with a direction to the District Magistrate, Nalanda at Bihar Sharif to dispose off the aforesaid Appeal, filed by the petitioner, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from today and till then status quo existing as on today qua the land/house of the petitioner in question shall be maintained.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
