Petitioner is in jail custody since 17.6.2016 in a case registered under sections 272, 273 of the Indian Penal Code and 47 of the Excise Act.

Taking into consideration that in huge quantity of Indian made foreign liquor were recovered from a vehicle which was being driven by the petitioner at the time of alleged recovery and the petitioner was caught on the spot, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail and accordingly, his prayer for bail in connection with Purnea Sadar P.S. Case no. 194/2016 pending in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purnea stands rejected, at least, at this stage. However, if the trial of the petitioner is not concluded within three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, petitioner may renew is prayer for bail before the trial court
