2. This application has been filed for issuance of writ/direction/order commanding the respondent to make payment of arrears of salary difference to the petitioner amounting of Rs.12,72,213/- (as per Govt. Rs.12,12,714/- only) along with interest thereon for the delayed period.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Pay Verification Cell has recommended for payment of Rs.12,27,614/-, but till date University has not paid the same.

4. Learned counsel for the State submits that the State has already released the fund for payment of the arrears of salary difference to the petitioner along with other persons.

5. Learned counsel for the University submits that the University has not received any fund.

6. Considering the arguments of the parties, this Court deems it fit and proper to direct the Vice-Chancellor, Magadh University, to make payment of arrears of salary difference to the petitioner amounting Rs.12,27,614/- within two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

7. If the petitioner does not receive the payment within the stipulated period, then he would be entitled to receive interest at the rate of 6% per year from the date it is due till its payment.

8. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
