The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Hathauri P.S. Case No.139 of 2012 for the offence punishable under Section 498A, 307 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The prosecution story, in brief, is that husband of the informant (Kiran Devi), father-in-law and mother-in-law had been demanding cash, motor-bike and buffalo in dowry. Since the demand was not fulfilled by her father, they began to torture her. It is further alleged that she had been assaulted by her in-laws with knife as a result of which she sustained injuries. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is the husband of the informant and after a number of attempts were made by the petitioner, the informant is not ready to

It has further been submitted that the petitioner is ready to deposit a sum of Rs.2000/- each month in the court below which may be released in favour of the informant. On behalf of the State, it has been submitted that the petitioner is the husband of the informant and he is named in the first information report.
Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, petitioner is directed to deposit a sum of Rs.2000/- every month in the court below and the said amount shall be released in favour of the informant and on deposit of the said amount, he (Lal Babu Sahni) shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sri Santosh Kumar Jha, Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class, Muzaffarpur in connection with Hathauri P.S. Case No.139 of 2012.
