JUSTICE BIBEK CHAUDHURI ORAL ORDER 21-08-2025 The petitioner has raised a question about the quantum of compensation published in the official gazette on 16th of November, 1990.

2. It is submitted by the petitioner that he received compensation amount with objection stating inter alia that the amount of compensation was not properly calculated in terms of scheme contained in the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.

3. If the petitioner has any objection with regard to the amount of compensation in respect of the land acquired under the old Act of 1894, the statute authorises him to file an appropriate application before the Principal District Judge

Patna High Court CWJC No.13407 of 2025(2) dt.21-08-2025 2/2 raising the question as to the validity of the amount of compensation

4. In such circumstances, I have no other alternative but to hold that the instant writ petition is not maintainable.

5. Accordingly, the instant writ petition is dismissed giving liberty to the petitioner to take steps under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 in accordance with law. (Bibek Chaudhuri, J) uttam/- U
