JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 07-11-2019 Admittedly, the entire outstanding retiral dues of the petitioner herein has now stood paid, however the petitioner is aggrieved by non-payment of statutory interest over the amount of gratuity paid to the petitioner in accordance with the provisions of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.
Having regard to the limited subsisting grievance of the petitioner herein, I deem it fit and appropriate to dispose off the present writ petition, however with liberty to the petitioner to approach the concerned authorities or the respondent-institute for redressal of his grievance regarding non-payment of interest on gratuity amount for the period of delay in making payment thereof.
