The petitioners apprehend their arrest in Muffasil (Lakhaura) P.S. case No. 19 of 2019 registered under Section 341, 323, 498A, 313, 504, 506/34 of the IPC and u/s 3⁄4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

The informant, wife of Surendra Thakur @ Bhola, made allegation against her husband, father-in-law, mother-inlaw and other in-laws that they all subjected her to physical and mental torture. She further alleged that her mother-in-law and sister-in-law caused her burnt injuries on her body. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-law of the informant

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.53656 of 2019(2) dt.27-08-2019 2/2 and they have no manner of concern with the family affairs of the informant or her husband. The petitioners never demanded any dowry nor tortured the informant.

Considering the facts aforesaid and nature of allegation made against the petitioners and the fact that petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-law of the informant, the petitioners, above named, in the event of their arrest/ surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order are directed to be enlarged on bail on their furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari in connection with Muffasil (Lakhaura) P.S. case No. 19 of 2019, subject to conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
