2. The petitioner is apprehending her arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 13(2), 13(1) (e) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Prosecution case is that the case of disproportionate asset was registered against Kanhaiya Kumar, Assistant Director Information and Broadcasting Department, Bihar Patna alleging that he has amassed property to the tune of Rs. 1,19,96,650/- in his name and in the name of his wife with the help of other co-accused since his joining.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that

He submits that petitioner's husband was working in the same department under Kanhaiya Kumar and he died on 19.05.2019. He submits that name of the petitioner has cropped up only on account of petitioner having joint account along with her husband. He submits that similarly situated co-accused has already been granted bail by a coordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 20.06.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 33844 of 2021. He further submits that petitioner has no criminal antecedent as stated in para-3 of the bail application.

5. Learned APP for the State and learned counsel for the Economic Office Unit oppose the prayer for bail submit that the petitioner was also involved in the present case.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the similarly situated co-accused has already been granted bail, let the above named petitioner in the event of her arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned court below where the case is pending/successor court in connection with Vigilance P.S. Case
