The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Mufassil P.S. Case No.307 of 2014 for the offence punishable under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Vide order passed on 13.3.2015 this Court while granting provisional anticipatory bail to the petitioner referred the matter to the Mediation-cum-Conciliation Centre at Gaya Civil Court to explore the possibility of settlement in between the parties. The matter has thereafter been put up by the District and Sessions Judge, Gaya along with report of the Mediation Committee who have reported an amicable settlement of the dispute in between the parties. The report of the Mediator dated 23.6.2015 mentions that the parties have agreed to put an end to all the litigations going on in between them and that the petitioner has agreed to make payment of Rs. 5 lacs to the complainant of which Rs. 1,25,000/-

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.39903 of 2014 (3) dt.16-09-2015 2/2 has already been handed over by way of cheque to the complainant and a second cheque for the same amount has been kept with the Mediator for payment on 23.9.2015. The compromise petition is also on record and spells out the mode of settlement. The parties have also agreed to file a joint petition of divorce with mutual consent in the divorce proceedings. Let the report of the Medication Committee as forwarded by the District and Sessions Judge, Gaya be transmitted to the court concerned in seisen of Gaya Mufassil P.S. Case No.203 of 2013 since the same would be relevant for final adjudication of the said proceedings.

The office would take necessary steps for transmission of the report of the Mediation Committee along with forwarding letter of the District and Sessions Judge as well as compromise petition so entered in between the parties which forms part of the report of the Mediator to the court below for its consideration at the time of the final disposal of the criminal case. In the circumstances so discussed hereinabove, the provisional bail granted to the petitioner on 13.3.2015 stands confirmed.
