JUSTICE RAKESH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 11-09-2018 The petitioner, husband of the deceased, has prayed for grant of anticipatory bail in a case, which was lodged long back in the year 2014 vide Rani Talab P.S. Case No. 92 of 2014 registered for the offence under Sections 304B/201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

It is a case that within four years of marriage, the petitioner started torturing his wife and started demanding dowry. She was regularly mentally and physically tortured and finally, she was done to death. In the post-mortem report, which was examined by the court below, it indicates that the deceased was having burn injuries. Even in such case, which was lodged in the year 2014, it appears that no action was taken against the petitioner and this was the reason that the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail was rejected by the learned court below.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.54097 of 2018(2) dt.11-09-2018 2/2 Accordingly, the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail stands dismissed.
