The petitioner is in custody in connection with Motipur P.S. Case No. 266 of 2019, Special Case No. 507 of 2019 for the offenses under Sections 414, 420,379, 120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 7 of the EC Act. Allegation against the petitioner is that he was involved in theft of gas cylinder.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioners are in custody since 8.6.2019. he has no criminal antecedent.
