1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. A) To issue appropriate writ, order, direction in the nature of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to expeditiously process and grant the Arms License to the petitioner regarding which Arms License case no. 21/2018 and 22/2018, are pending before Respondent no. 2 vide applications dated 18.12.2017.

B) To direct Respondent no. 2 to dispose off the representation and Petition submitted by the Petitioner vide annexure P/1 and P/2 for grant of Arms License."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the

Patna High Court CWJC No.12686 of 2024(2) dt.29-08-2024 2/2 petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Kaimur, to dispose off the pending cases, bearing Arms License Case No.21 of 2018 and Arms License Case No.22 of 2018.

3. Per contra the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case any such cases are still pending, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Kaimur, to dispose off the aforesaid cases, in case the same have not already been disposed off, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
