The sole petitioner, who is in custody since 01-08-2016 in Sultangunj P.S. Case No. 141 of 2016, registered for offence under Sections 419, 420, 414 of the Indian Penal Code, 27(a), 18A, 18B of Drugs and Chemical Act and Section 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, has prayed for grant of bail.

It was submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is the brother of licensee of the medicine and he has been made accused and detained on an allegation of recovery of 28 bottles of 100 ml. each of Corex cough syrup.
