In this case, the petitioner is seeking bail in connection with Complaint Case No. 419 of 2016 registered for offence under section 47 (A) of the Excise Act. While the petitioner was crossing Kishanganj, he was intercepted and from his possession, 19 bottles of 750 ml Royal Stag Visky-wine was recovered.

The counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not the resident of Bihar, but he was crossing through Kishanganj and for that, he was arrested.
