Although petitioner is named in the first information report but admittedly, he was not caught on the spot. However, it is alleged that subsequently, petitioner was arrested and some stolen articles were recovered from his house.

Petitioner is in jail custody since 2.4.2015 in a case registered under sections 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code. Accordingly, petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran at Motihari in Motihari Town P.S.
