JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 13-02-2017 The petitioner has filed the present writ application with a prayer to direct the respondents to authorize remaining amount of G.P.F. for the period 1969 till 1981-82 along with statutory interest.
2. The District Provident Officer, Bhagalpur and the Accountant General, Bihar, Patna have filed respective counter affidavits in the matter.

3. The stand of the State is that the entire payment of G.P.F. amount has already been made whereas the contention of the petitioner is that certain deductions made from the salary of the petitioner for the period 1969 till 1981-82 have not been calculated while making payment of the G.P.F. amount to the petitioner.
4. Considering the nature of the dispute, I direct the petitioner to file a detailed representation before the District Provident Officer, Bhagalpur highlighting his claim within a period of four weeks from today. In case of such filing, the District Provident Officer, Bhagalpur shall examine and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order within six weeks. In case, any amount is found payable to the petitioner, the same shall also be paid to him within the aforementioned period. However, in case the claim of the petitioner is rejected, the order should duly be communicated upon the petitioner.
5. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the writ application is disposed of.
