The petitioner seeks bail in Special P.S. Case no. 24/2015, arising out of Vigilance P.S. Case no. 42/2015, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 8, 7, 13(2), 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The informer alleged that his brother was in custody and he approached the Dy S.P. with regard to his brother. The Dy S.P. asked him to approach the petitioner and his work would be done. The petitioner asked him to give Rs. 2 lacs. In pursuance thereof, the informant gave Rs. 1,10,000/- to the petitioner and the petitioner was apprehended by the Vigilance team. It is submitted that charge-sheet has already been submitted and the petitioner is in jail since 13.05.2015. It is further submitted

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.41043 of 2015 (2) dt.09-09-2015 2/2 that the petitioner is implicated in a managed trap case. Learned Junior Counsel to Law Officer of Vigilance, however, opposed the prayer for bail.

Considering the facts aforesaid and the fact that the petitioner has already remained in jail for more than three months and charge-sheet has been submitted, the petitioner above named is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Trap, Patna, in connection with Special Case No. 24/2015, arising out of Vigilance P.S. Case No. 42/2015.
