The petitioner seeks bail in Maranchi P.S. Case no. 81/2014, registered for the offences punishable under Section 387 and other Sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner and one Bambam Singh are named in the FIR and it is alleged that the petitioners demanded extortion from the informant on the mobile.

It is submitted that the mobile from which the call was made does not belong to the petitioner Lalit Singh or Bambam Singh. The same belongs to Kumti Devi. Except the fact that the petitioner has got criminal antecedent, there is absolutely no material to show the involvement of the petitioner. The petitioner is in jail since 20.11.2014. He has already remained in jail for

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.40047 of 2015 (2) dt.08-09-2015 2/2 about 10 months.

Considering the facts aforesaid, the petitioner above named is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barh, Patna, in connection with Maranchi P.S. Case No. 81/2014.
