The petitioner seeks bail in Rahui P.S. Case No. 177 of 2017 registered under Section 304-B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, the petitioner along with other accused persons are said to have strangulated to death the daughter of the informant for dowry demand. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner happens to be mother-in-law of the deceased. She is aged about 75 years. The allegation levelled against the petitioner is not specific rather general and omnibus in nature. She has no concern with the aforesaid occurrence. Moreover, she happens to be lady. The petitioner has been languishing in custody

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.50811 of 2017 (03) dt.20-12-2017 2/ 2 since 20.07.2017.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, the above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nalanda at Biharsharif in connection with Rahui P.S. Case No.177 of 2017 (G.R. No.2629/2017).
