Petitioner seeks bail in Town (Chapra) P.S. Case No. 240 of 2017 (G.R. No. 3967 of 2017) for the offence punishable under Sections 399, 402 and 414 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 25(1-b)a, 26 and 35 of the Arms Act. Allegation against the petitioner is that one knife, two live cartridges and two mobile phones have been recovered from the possession of the petitioner.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner has not been arrested on the spot and the name of the petitioner had transpired only on the basis of confessional statement of co-accused Guddu Kumar. The petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and is in custody since 07.06.2017.

Case No. 240 of 2017 (G.R. No. 3967 of 2017).
