Applicants have been arrested in connection with Patrakar Nagar P.S. Case No.383 of 2017/ Special Case No.4347 of 2017 for the offences under Sections- 30, 30(B) and 38/41 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. They are in custody since 27.7.2017.

They were found transporting the prohibited item. Considering the fact that this is the first time that this offence has been committed by the applicants under the Excise Act and trial in the case in question is likely to take quite some time, the application is allowed.

Applicants named above are directed to be released

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.47006 of 2017(2) dt.22-09-2017 2/2 on bail on furnishing the bail-bonds of Rs.25,000/- (twenty-five thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Excise, Patna, in connection with Patrakar Nagar P.S. Case No.383 of 2017, Special Case No.4347 of 2017.
