The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Sasaram (Town) P.S. case No. 292 of 2016 under Section 384, 386/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The informant alleged that from different mobiles extortion of Rs. one lac was demanded from him. One day two persons came on a motor cycle and enquired about the informant, Rakesh Kumar Gupta. The accused persons threatened the informant due to non payment of extortion. On such, alarm was raised and one person, Pramod Kumar Ram, was apprehended who disclosed the name of other person as Kanhaiya Ram. It is submitted that name of the petitioner is also

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.28762 of 2016 (3) dt.05-09-2016 2/2 mentioned as Dharmjeet Singh but only two persons, Pramod Kumar Ram and Kanhaiya Ram, had gone to threaten the informant due to non payment of extortion.

It appears from perusal of the order of learned Additional Sessions Judge that the mobile from which extortion was demanded belonged to the petitioner and the involvement of the petitioner also came to surface as one of the persons, who demanded extortion.

Considering the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
