2. The grievance of the petitioner is only confined to dispose off the application of the petitioner pending before the Circle Officer, Arwal for mutation of his name with respect to the property in question, which has been bequeathed in his favour through registered gift deed.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that despite repeated applications or representations filed before the Circle Officer, Arwal, by the petitioner to get his name mutated

Patna High Court CWJC No.13578 of 2024(2) dt.09-09-2024 2/2 in the revenue record and accept the rent of the land in question, till date nothing has been done, compelling the petitioner to approach before this Court.

4. Learned counsel for the State fairly submitted that since the application(s) for mutation is pending before the Circle Officer, Arwal, it is under legal obligation to dispose off the same.

5. Regard being had to the submissions on behalf of the parties and considering the nature of relief(s) as prayed for in the present writ petition, the writ petition stands disposed off with a direction to the Circle Officer, Arwal, to consider the application of the petitioner and dispose off the same within the statutory period prescribed under the Bihar Land Mutation Act, 2011. However, in any circumstances, should not exceed for more than three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
