The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 304B and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, it is stated by the informant that after the marriage, the accused persons started to torture the daughter of the informant. Further his son-in-law, his son-in-law's father and also others started making demand of Rs.1 lakh. Ultimately, the informant's daughter was done to death.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner who is an old lady has been falsely implicated only for the reason of her being the mother-in-law of the deceased. No specific allegation has been made against her. The

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.66780 of 2021(2) dt.26-04-2022 2/2 allegation of demand of Rs.1 lakh is on the husband and the father-in-law of the deceased. The husband of the deceased is in custody while the father-in-law has been enlarged on bail vide order dated 6.7.2021 (Annexure-4). The petitioner is in custody since 14.9.2021 and has no criminal antecedent. Chargesheet has been submitted in the case.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts of the case, the general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner, grant of bail to the father-in-law ie the husband of the petitioner together with the petitioner having remained in custody for 7 months, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Industrial Area P.S. Case no.49 of 2020 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Vaishali at Hajipur.
