The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Alamganj P.S. Case No.549 of 2022, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 413 and 414 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. It is further submitted that the petitioner has got one criminal antecedent as stated in paragraph-3 of the bail application in which he has been acquitted by the trial court. It is submitted that the petitioner is not named in the FIR. The name of the petitioner has been surfaced in the case on the basis of confessional statement of the apprehended accused. It is also submitted that no incriminating articles has been recovered from

Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner.

Taking into consideration the confessional statement of the apprehended person, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. (Anjani Kumar Sharan, J) Sanjay/- U T
