JUSTICE ARVIND SRIVASTAVA ORAL ORDER 07-03-2018 Heard learned counsels for the petitioner and the State. Petitioner seeks bail in connection with Rajeev Nagar P.S. Case No. 25 of 2017 registered for the offence punishable under sections 302, 201 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner has earlier moved this Court for grant of bail in Cr. Misc. No. 19725 of 2017, which was rejected vide order dated 21.06.2017 (Annexure-1).

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is a Forest Officer-cum-Ranger having no criminal antecedent. He is languishing in custody since 06.02.2017. Considering the nature of allegations levelled, the materials available on record and the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, this Court does not find any fresh ground to reconsider the prayer for bail of the petitioner. It is, accordingly,

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.57822 of 2017(6) dt.07-03-2018 2/2 rejected.

However, considering the period of detention of the petitioner in custody, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial of the case and conclude it expeditiously, preferably, within a period of six months from today.
