JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL ORDER 18-04-2025 Heard Mr. Om Prakash Maharaj, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner; Ms. Divya Verma, learned AC to AAG-3 for the State and Mr. Ram Kinker Choubey, learned counsel for the Accountant General, Bihar.

2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State referring Para-5 of the supplementary show cause informs that the order under contempt has been complied and the same has been intimated to the Accountant General (A & E), Bihar Patna vide Letter No. 417 dated 11.04.2025 regarding approval of payment of pension under J.P. Senani Samman Scheme to 16 persons including the petitioner. A copy of the aforesaid letter has also been forwarded to the Treasury Officer, Sachivalaya Koshagar, Sichai Bhawan, Patna.

3. The payment has not been made to the petitioner because the Accountant General, Bihar has not taken any steps to forward PPO to the Treasury Officer, Sachivalaya Koshagar, Sichai Bhawan, Patna. Action is required to be taken forthwith by the Accountant General.

4. The Treasury Officer must not delay in making

Patna High Court MJC No.2390 of 2023(8) dt.18-04-2025 3/3 communication with the Accountant General, Bihar in view of the information he has received from the concerned party who has filed the supplementary show cause.

5. In case of failure, the petitioner is at liberty to take appropriate legal action against the concerned.
