JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 16-06-2020 The present writ petition has been taken up for consideration through the mode of Video conferencing in view of the prevailing situation on account of COVID 19 Pandemic, requiring social distancing.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned counsel for the State and Sri Ajay Behari Sinha, the learned counsel for the University.

The present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to pay the amount of un-utilized leave encashment,

Patna High Court CWJC No.17322 of 2019(3) dt.16-06-2020 2/2 due to be paid to the husband of the petitioner, the outstanding amount of group insurance and the due amount of deferred DA. The learned counsel for the University has submitted that already a sum of Rs. 12,05,033/- has been paid on the head of leave encashment, which is not disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner. It is further submitted by the learned counsel for the University that the payment of group insurance and deferred DA would be made very soon and appropriate steps have been taken in this regard.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Registrar and the Finance Officer, Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga to ensure payment of the outstanding amounts of group insurance and deferred DA to the widow petitioner within a period of four weeks from today, failing which, they shall not draw their salary.
