The State of Bihar .... .... Opposite Party/s ====================================================== Appearance :

For the Petitioner/s : Mr. Shakib Ayaz For the Opposite Party/s : Mr. Sri Ram Bachan Singh ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE RAKESH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 23-09-2016 Heard Sri Md. Gayasuddin, learned counsel, who was assisted by Mr. Shakib Ayaz, learned counsel for the petitioner , Sri Ram Bachan Singh, learned Additional Public Prosecutor as well as Mr. Md. Abdul Manan Khan, learned counsel , who was assisted by Mr. Md. Nazmul Hoda , learned counsel for the informant.

The petitioner, has approached this court with a prayer to grant anticipatory bail in a case in which F.I.R. was lodged in the year 2007 and petitioner was named as one of the accused in the F.I.R. In the said case it has been accepted by learned counsel for the petitioner that after investigation police submitted charge sheet in the year 2012 and thereafter cognizance order was passed.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.39251 of 2016 (2) dt.23-09-2016 2/2 The court is of the opinion that in a case in which charge sheet was submitted long back and order of cognizance was also passed, there is no reason to entertain anticipatory bail petition at such belated stage.

The petition stands dismissed.
