JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 18-09-2024 The present writ petition has been filed for directing the District Magistrate, Vaishali at Hajipur to dispose off the applications, filed by the petitioner dated 02.08.2012 and 21.10.2019, for grant of new registration (OD number) qua his Arms Licence No.530/DMU/XIII/Army/U dated 26.08.2010, issued at Udhampur, on account of the petitioner having superannuated from Army, leading to him having returned back to his native place, i.e. Vaishali at Hajipur. 2.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case any application has been filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license and the same is

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Vaishali at Hajipur to dispose off the aforesaid applications filed by the petitioner, in case the same have actually been filed and are still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
