JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 09-09-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1.For issuance of the writ(s) of Mandamus or other appropriate writs to direct the respondents especially the District Magistrate, Muzaffarpur to decide the application filed by the petitioner for grant of new registration (O.D.Entry) of revolver/pistol license No. 773/NL/DMR (obtained from Dimapur, Nagaland), in terms of Rule 17 and 24 of the Arms Rule, 2016 and Arms Act and grant other relief to which the petitioner is found entitled."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.13051 of 2024(2) dt.09-09-2024 2/2 seeks direction upon the District Magistrate, Muzaffarpur to dispose off the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner on 22.04.2024 within a stipulated time frame.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, is still pending, the same would definitely be disposed off within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

Having regard to the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Muzaffarpur to dispose off the aforesaid application, stated to have been filed by the petitioner on 22.04.2024, in case the same has actually been filed and the same is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order. 5.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
