1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. The petitioner in this application prays for grant of anticipatory bail apprehending his arrest in connection with Chautham P.S. Case no.178 of 2024 registered for the offence punishable under sections 498A, 341, 323, 504, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
3. As per allegation in the F.I.R, the informant states that she was married to the younger brother of the petitioner herein. The accused persons abused, assaulted and
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.59104 of 2024(2) dt.19-09-2024 2/3 tortured her for nonfulfiment of demand of dowry which was by way of motorcycle and rupees two lakhs in cash. There is specific allegation that the informant's mother- in- law assaulted her and other family members also participated in the occurrence.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner who happens to be elder brother of the husband of the informant has been falsely implicated in the case. He is living separately and has no concern with the affairs of the family of the informant. The allegations are general and omnibus in nature. The petitioner undertakes to cooperate in the case.
5. The application for bail is opposed by learned APP for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the allegation against the petitioner in the F.I.R., the petitioner being elder brother of the husband of the informant and the allegations against him being general and omnibus in nature, it is directed that the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks, be released on anticipatory bail in connection with Chautham P.S. Case no.178
