2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B, 120B, 201, 504, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per prosecution case, co-accused Amit Kumar, Mithu Kumar and Nitu Kumar committed murder of the daughter of informant due to non-fulfillment of demand of motorcycle as dowry.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner, who is Sarpanch of Bharatkhand Panchayat, is only alleged to have assisted other accused persons in commission of the offence and misbehaved with informant. It is not the case of the prosecution that this petitioner also participated in the commission of offence. Petitioner is not a relative of in-laws of

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposed the bail application.

6. Considering the nature of accusation, this anticipatory bail is allowed and it is ordered that let the above named petitioner in the event of his arrest/surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Khagaria in connection with Bharatkhand P. S. Case No. 14 of 2024, subject to condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
