JUSTICE HEMANT KUMAR SRIVASTAVA ORAL ORDER 22-04-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the Food Corporation of India and learned counsel, appearing for Employees Provident Fund Commissioner. The grievance of the petitioner is that the concerned authorities have not calculated the statutory interest in the light of judgment passed in Bijay L. Mehrotra Vs The State of UP reported in AIR 2000 SC 3513(2) but in my view, the aforesaid judgment is not applicable in the present matter because the concerned officials disposed off the representation of the petitioner, taking into consideration his grievance and the

Patna High Court MJC No.4340 of 2014 (4) dt.22-04-2015 2/2 concerned authorities directed to make payment of dues of the petitioner in accordance with law.

Hence I do not find any merit in this petition. Accordingly, this contempt petition stands disposed off.
