1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.(i) Issuance of an appropriate writ including a writ in the nature of Mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner on the post of Class-III from Class-IV on compassionate appointment on the basis of notification dated 25th April 2012 and dated 24th August 2016 issued under the Signature of Principal Secretary, General Administration Department Government of Bihar and Additional Secretary, General Administration Department, Government of Bihar because the petitioner has been appointed on the post of Class-IV which is

Patna High Court CWJC No.14552 of 2022(2) dt.20-02-2024 2/2 against the said notification though the petitioner has been passed Intermediate at the time of appointment, now he has already been graduate and according to the said notification the petitioner should have been appointed on the post of class-III in grade pay of Rs. 1900/- where as some persons who had passed Intermediate have been appointed on the post of Class-III in grade pay of Rs.1900/-. The respondents have opted pick and choose policy and ignoring the guidelines issued by the State Government."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the District Magistrate, Banka, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
