2. It has been informed to this Court that pursuant to the decision of the State Government dated 21.02.2024 the study of intermediate courses was stopped in the degree colleges. After the decision of the State Government, the intermediate courses were separated from the degree college and now the inter college has been closed. As per the policy decision

Patna High Court CWJC No.12142 of 2023 dt.11-09-2025 2/3 of the State Government regarding payment of aid to the inter colleges on the basis of performance of students, the rate of which has been mentioned in the policy decision of the State Government dated 19.05.2009, the aid has been made available to the petitioner college up to sessions 2010-12, but thereafter for the sessions 2011-13 to 2017-19, the amount of aid has not been released by the State Government.

On the last occasion, when the matter was taken up, this Court had directed the Bihar School Examination Board to ensure filing of an affidavit with a specific reply as to why the amount of aid as per the policy decision of the State Government has not been released by the State for payment of the petitioner College.

4. Supplementary counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondent Nos. 4 to 6. A categorical averment has been made that after proper deliberation, the Registrar of the Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara vide letter No. 392 dated 12.03.2025 informed the respondent Board that Dr. Sunita Kumari has been appointed and is functioning as the permanent Principal of the petitioner College with effect from 21.03.2024.

5. On being satisfied with the aforesaid clarification, the matter relating to payment of grant to the petitioner College

Patna High Court CWJC No.12142 of 2023 dt.11-09-2025 3/3 for the academic sessions 2011-13, 2012-14, 2014-16 and 201517 was placed for consideration before the Grant Committee of the Board in its meeting held on 11.07.2025, which has duly approved the payment of grant in aid to the petitioner.

6. Mr. Satyabir Bharti, learned Senior Advocate for the Board taking this Court through the supplementary counter affidavit has submitted that now the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed.

7. Considering the afore noted stand that the payment of grant in aid has already been approved in favour of the petitioner College, it is expected that the necessary payment shall be made to the College in question within a reasonable period, but not beyond the period of eight weeks.
