The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Warisaliganj P.S. Case No. 55 of 2015, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 323, 341 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 25(1-b)A, 26/34 of the Arms Act. The informant made allegation that the petitioner and his brother intercepted them and assaulted him with butt of revolver. The informant somehow snatched the revolver from the possession of the petitioner and handed over the same to the police.

It is submitted that the petitioner happens to be the cousin of the informant and on account of land dispute this case has been lodged.
